Protect Our Past is a people-powered organization. None of what we do would be possible without our indispensable community of donors and volunteers. From our July 4th float to our fundraising events, there are plenty of opportunities to meet some great people, make a difference, and have some fun doing it.

Ways You Can Help
Protect Our Past relies on volunteers with a wide range of interests and skills. If you’d like to help, here are some of the areas where we’d especially love support.
- Events & Public Programs: Support POP events, public talks, and community outreach gatherings.
- Preservation Advocacy: Help build awareness around threatened properties and support preservation-minded local engagement.
- Historic Home Education: Share knowledge as a historian, preservation expert, tradesperson, homeowner, or restoration advocate.
- Media & Creative Work: Contribute photography, videography, illustration, or other visual storytelling.
- Writing & Research: Help with articles, preservation stories, architectural history, and research.
- Film Festival Support: Assist with festival-related planning, representation, and event support.
